Air Valve with Centering Spring, for Coats Tire Changers
Foot Controlled AIR VALVE for Coats brand Tire Changers. Made in the USA. Used on dozens of models for TURNTABLE ROTATION and WHEEL CLAMPING. This valve has an INTERNAL CENTERING SPRING which helps prevent valve leakage from not returning to complete center. You can replace valve 8181986 with this valve for rotation and clamping functions. This valve should not be used for the Bead Breaking function.
You can tell if your valve has an internal spring by trying to pull out the plunger. If the plunger comes out easily it is a 8181986; if there is spring resistance it is a 8184369 (the valve you are currently viewing).
